Works for Magellan Maestro 4700 as well This screen protector is designed for the Magellan 1470, but when I bought my Maestro 4700 I quickly discovered that there are few options for that device. However, I also discovered that the 1470 and the 4700 have the same size screen (or appeared to, from the specs and the pictures). So I took the chance and I’m glad I did.
The package arrived labeled “crystal clear”, but I had ordered the model that was designed to reduce glare. After a couple of looks at some websites, I decided that the “clear” model and the “glare” model have the same packaging. In any case, this model is the low glare one.
It came with an interesting set of rubber finger gloves – two pieces of rubber that you wear when putting on the protector. I found them uncomfortable, but I only had to use them for a couple of minutes. These will eliminate fingerprints under the protector. Excellent addition.
Otherwise the packaging was pretty much normal. It had a tab to make separation of the backing easier, and a small cloth to clean the GPS screen, plus a small cardboard piece designed to smooth out any bubbles.
The protector went on with a couple of large bubbles, but the cardboard piece worked really well, and now the protector has a smooth finish.
In actual use I find it to be quite good at reducing glare without blocking too much clarity of the screen. One loses a small amount of brightness, but it is not really a significant amount. I can still see some items reflected in the screen, but nothing like when used without the protector, and not to the amount that they interfere with seeing the GPS display.
Overall, a good device, and worth the cost.
Lexerd anti-glare review I’ve used the protector for about a month now. It’s was easy to apply and it does help with reducing daytime glare. I notice however that at nightime driving the GPS screen can reflect off the dash on to the windshield, This can be distracting so I have to adjust the GPS angle to prevent this. Even with this I’m satisfied with the product.

Customer Reviews:
Good Detector for the Money I have used this radar detector for over a year now. It is the best detector in this price range. Be sure to read the manual completely as it is necessary to turn on some of the bands in city mode. When I started using it every day I quickly learned where the false alarms are. Rouge warnings are the ones to look out for. The Laser warning has gone off several times (in fact the alarm will really get your attention) but with laser once you pick up the signal, you’re probably nailed. The emergency vehicle warning works, but not very many emergency vehicles have the transponder necessary to activate the warning. My detector has been very durable, it seems to get really hot sometimes with the sun beating on it, but it has never failed to work. Sometimes it’s hard to see the screen in bright light, but the audio warnings make up for that. I like the voice warnings because it tells you the type of radar it’s picking up, so you don’t have to look at the unit to find out. At one time or another it has picked up each type of radar advertised and each has a different audio alert. Intellimute is nice feature. I don’t use the compass.
I look forward to the day when I can buy an expensive detector and do a side by side comparison, but overall I would say if you pay close attention to the settings and keep in mind what a radar detector can and can not do for you, this is a good choice for the money.
Great In Just About Everyway I purchased this product got it up in running in 10 seconds. This model is great it has the easiest user interface I have ever seen. Just use the buttons on the top and it will tell you how to work it.
The features are outstanding it has everything that you will need for the present day and what is to come in the future. I would defintly recommend this for just about anyone who drives at all. This model has amazingly great range on it. I have found it to have a few false alarms here and there particulary in pop mode but its easy enough to just click the city mode on the top and basically get rid of all those false alerts. The only down side is probably the size of it, by no means is it descrete when you have a police officer in front of you or behind but drive legally and you won’t have any problem since there not illegal. I defintly recommend Cobra over everyone else due to there exclusive safety alert I have been surprised by how many times that thing has gone off and I the emergency vehicle is a ways back out of sight. Buy this product trust me anyone who drives at all will find it very handy. The price of speeding tickets now a days means that it pays for itself if you get caught off guard even once.
Great detector I bought this radar detector about 7 months ago and since then it has saved me at least 4 times from state troopers that had all their lights off on the side of the road (so you wouldn’t be able to see them until it was too late). This detector usually lets me know about .4-.75 mile in advance of a radar signal (more like 1000-1500 feet if the signal is blocked, i.e. trooper parked behind a concrete barricade). Overall, I would say this is worth the money, since one speeding ticket is about $200 in Pennsylvania!
Amazon.com Product Description Whether you commute to work or school on the freeway, drive for a living, or just like to go on an occasional recreational trip, the Cobra XRS-9830 Radar/Laser Detector is an invaluable addition to your motor vehicle. Designed for the convenience of 24-hour use, the XRS-9830 has an extra bright 2-color digital display that can be dimmed for nighttime driving. Measuring 4.88 x 3.01 x 1.44 inches and weighing just 6.74 ounces, the XRS-9830 can be set just about anywhere within easy view when you’re driving, and then stored in your glove compartment when you’re parked. The XRS-9830 detects six different radar signals, including the Ku wavelength band that is widely used in Europe and that has been recently approved for use in the United States. In addition, the XRS-9830 is completely invisible to the VG-2 and Spectre radar detector detectors while it alerts you if either the VG-2 or the Spectre is in use in your area. The XRS-9830 is also sensitive to four different laser signals, and with its LaserEye feature giving you a 360-degree detection range, you’ll always be able to tell if you’re driving through a surveillance area. And perhaps most importantly, for your own safety and the safety of other drivers sharing the road with you, the XRS-9830 detects two emergency alert systems to give you advance warning of road hazards, keeping you prepared when emergency vehicles are nearby. In addition to detecting the Safety alert system, the XRS-9830, like most of Cobra’s Radar/Laser detectors, offers Cobra’s exclusive feature of detecting the presence of the Strobe alert system, which emergency crews use to control traffic signals. Other features include a voice alert and an easy-to-program menu, as well as power features such as automatic shutdown when you turn your ignition off and a battery voltage display. So get the Cobra XRS-9830 Radar/Laser Detector for your car or truck, and you’ll be prepared for just about anything when you’re behind the wheel. Note: Radar detectors can be used without restriction in well over 40 states, but restrictions apply in a few states. Please check with your state department of motor vehicles or highway patrol if you have questions about whether there are restrictions in your area. What’s in the Box XRS 9830 radar/laser detector, windshield bracket, coiled power cord, hook and loop fasteners, and owner’s manual.

The ultimate mobile projector. Stunning widescreen performance. Wireless and networking connectivity. Innovative easy-to-use features for ultra-quick setup and smooth transitions between presenters. No need for bulky VGA cable.
- Brand: Epson
- Model: V11H270020
- Format: CD
- Original language: English
- Number of items: 1
- Dimensions: 7.60″ h x 14.20″ w x 19.40″ l, 10.56 pounds
Features
- 3000 lumens of color and white light output (ISO 21118)
- Native WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution (16:10)
- Lightweight (under 4 lbs)
- Plug n¿ Play USB connection projects video and plays audio from PC
- Quick-Connect Wireless – just plug the wireless key into a PC and project
Light, bright, quiet – and expensive The PowerLite 1735W is terrific portable presentation tool. I researched comparable DLP-based projectors before buying this one. The PowerLite’s picture quality is excellent for such a small projector, and the “3LCD” technology works very well for playing videos (comparable DLP projectors have trouble with rapid light/dark changes).
Tired of mediocre – and loud – projectors at conference & hotel venues, I have been pleased with the very low fan noise when set to “low” brightness – and the output is still a bright ~2000 lumens.
Pros: * Bright, even when set to “low” * Quiet when set to “low” brightness * Compact & light weight * Very easy to set-up with VGA input * Works well for projecting flash videos (or DVDs) * Very long lamp life (4000 hours on “low” brightness) * Can set-up for custom logo (professional look) * Can set-up for password lock-out (inhibit theft) * High-resolution native WXGA (1280 x 800) projection * S-Video input
Cons: * Pricey * Noticeable fan noise when set to maximum brightness * XGA (1024 x 768) projection is not native (dithered) * Only works with PowerPoint “presenter mode” (notes on laptop screen) when using VGA. Presenter mode does *NOT* work when connected via WiFi or USB (will only project the same output as the main laptop screen). * No component, HDMI or DisplayPort inputs (but nothing in this class does) * Security lock-out requires the remote control. If you lose the remote, you’re toast until you get a replacement. * Speaker output is no better than typical laptop. Only suitable for a small conference table.
The DLP-based projectors are slightly smaller, but for me the combined features of the PowerLite 1735W make it a superior tool for professional use. If you don’t need the WiFi or USB input (and I don’t), consider the PowerLite 1730W Epson PowerLite 1730W 3000 Lumens WXGA Projector and save ~$100. If size and weight aren’t important, there are lots of far less expensive alternatives.
Light and Lovely I have had this projector for about a month now and feel like I can report on it fairly. The first thing you will notice is the weight…it is just the right weight for a projector. You don’t mind taking it as a carry on. The case they give you is just right for this use giving you plenty of compartments to be used for passports and the other stuff you like to take with you on the plane. The picture and illumination are just great for just about every occasion. Don’t think you could find a more perfect picture. I have not used the cordless features and I probably will never make use of this machine without it being hard wired. I know this may sound silly but the hardest thing about using this machine is trying to figure out how the hell to access the instruction manual…go figure. I think you can not go wrong with this machine if you are a road warrior. Have Fun!
Great Projector The epson powerlite 1735w is a great presentation projector. It is easy to setup and use straight out of the box. It’s size and light weight make it easy to take along where ever you need it.

Even smaller than the Bluetooth wireless This is my third aluminum keyboard. The first was the wired with numeric keypad, and second the Bluetooth version.
This keyboard is smaller and lighter than the Bluetooth version because there’s no battery compartment.
There are two USB2 ports underneath by the sides. To power electronic devices (e.g. cameras, iPod), it has to be plugged into a self-powered USB2 port. In case you don’t know, not all USB ports on Macs are self-powered.
I like the tactile feel of the keys. Typing is faster compared to the previous white plastic keyboards. The very minor issue is sometimes I mis-type letters because my fingers hit the keys nearby — these keys are flat and not indented to prevent slips.
The layout of the keys are exactly the same as those on the portable Macbooks. If you’re a new user, you’ll get used to it after sometime.
There are people complaining about the lack of numeric keypad for reasons I don’t know. I don’t think they have Macbooks or even PC portables because I don’t hear a lot of complaints from laptop users about the lack of numeric keypad. Additionally, if you want the numeric keypad, you have that option.
This keyboard can also be used in a Windows OS environment. You have to read support documents on Apple’s website for specific requirements, e.g. how to map the buttons and stuff like that.
Conclusion: This keyboard is really for Mac users whose computers have no Bluetooth, and who value table space very much (or need those extra USB2 ports).
————
My Bluetooth keyboard had some issues so I had to use the wired version. Table space is my main priority. I bought this keyboard to replace my other wired keyboard, which still functioning perfectly well.
This keyboard is also extremely easy to clean. No more worries of things like hair, bread crumbs falling between the keys. When the keys turn yellow, just use a wet tissue to wipe and it looks brand new again.
Great keyboard, surprisingly easy to use and SMALL! This keyboard is replacing a Microsoft Wireless keyboard.
My goals for the keyboard were: 1. save desk space (keyboard drawer) and 2. Have a wired keyboard that doesn’t need batteries.
I’m very surprised by how small the keyboard is. Make no mistake: the keys are full-sized. It’s exactly the same size and layout of the keyboard on my MacBook Pro, which is convenient.
I do not miss the media keys from the Microsoft keyboard, nor the numeric keypad (used, but never by need).
The keyboard is extremely solid — there is no bounce or play from pressing down hard. This wonderful and makes typing very easy.
The noise is acceptably quiet. It’s not silent, nor does it click annoyingly. Some of the bigger keys do make more noise (such as the delete key), but not so much that it matters.
The only thing I really miss from it is back lighting. I wish it had that as I’ve come to enjoy it on the built-in keyboard.
Highly recommended as a keyboard attached to a MacBook — or for any machine where desk space is important.
my god, this thing rocks This keyboard is beautiful, compact, and functional. Apple has always made nice keyboards, and continue to do so long after its pc brethren have turned into disposable pieces of plastic crap. After using one of these, there’s no going back.
